How to find the rim size for tyres?
Not sure how to find the rim size for tyres on your vehicle? Don't worry, we can help with two easy steps to help you determine the correct size.
1. Consult your car’s owner’s manual
The first place to check for the rim size for tyres is your car’s owner’s manual. Simply look up “Tyre Size” in the index, and you should find the correct information. Keep in mind that some manuals may list multiple tyre sizes if the vehicle has different options or models, so ensure you check the right one for your car.
2. Inspect your current tyres
Another way to find your rim size for tyres is by looking at the sidewall of your current tyres. There, you’ll find a series of numbers and letters, such as 215/60R16, where the number after the "R" (in this example, 16) represents the rim diameter in inches. If your car has staggered tyres (different sizes on the front and rear), make sure to check both the front and rear tyres.
These two simple methods will help you determine the correct rim size for tyres on your vehicle. If you need further assistance, our expert team at your local Bridgestone can help.
